Any ideas, would prefere to stay with AMD products as my current E6850 has given me 5 years of Hell
so i'm no longer a fan of Intel. by the way i dnt want a 6 core yet. No bennifit for what i'm doing right nw.

thanks guys

well what i want to do is play metro 2033 on at least High. currently able to do medium. and i play mmos like Lord of the rings. i browse the net. do some music production but just for fun. i fast quad is all i need. so i designed this with that idea in mind. hope that helps

1) I would avoid such a cheap keyboard & mouse.
2) Rather go for the HD 6870 than for the expensive and previous generation HD 5870 card!
3) An R800 PSU should suffice, like the CM GX-550W

Ok then...
You could drop the 965 down to a 955. They are both black editions so you raise the multiplier by one on the 955 on you got yourself a 965. They both OC to the same levels so no real need to spend the cash on the 965.
RAM looks good although I would prefer to use 1.5V sticks.
GPU, I wuold strongly recommend trying to pick up a HD6870, or at least wait until the 5000 series drops in price. Maybe even wait for the launch of the 69xx cards later this month.
And for a case I will recommend the CM690ii. Looks plain but offers great value.
Your PSU looks mighty expensive. Try get a good quality (80+ certified) PSU in the R750 range. Should be able to get 500-600W which is more than enough
Everything else looks good.

Just out of interest - what is that screen like? I'm interested in getting a new one since my old 19" WS died 2 weeks ago.

Wow guys thanks for all the tips. I'm definitely gonna consider them. The screen is decent enough for movies and gaming. I'ts cost is fine and size is fine too. i had a samsung 23 inch and it was aw-sum but i had an LG before and color quality without dynamic contrast ratio was better. i appreciate the help and will rework the design. thanks for the overclocking advice too. was maby considering it but now will definitely go that route.

Oh - if you want to OC the CPU, get a decent aftermarket cooler too
Cogage True is the best value out there currently

Hey guys okay so i reworked the design according to your suggestions tell me what you think now.

absolutely no need to drop from a 965 to a 955!, have u seen how much the prices have decreased on the 965!, that cpu used to be over 2grand not too long ago. get the 965.
