i live in durban  and they had my psu to me in 3days..... amazing......and on the prophecy forums you can post for any help you need etc youll see firestar etc reply very quickly

btw: that psu apparently got 100% rating in a customPC magazine :) .......its great and great value for money :)

Pfft :p

My 8800 GTS was shipped yesterday evening and has just arrived and I'm in PMB:cool:

:D

The liteon drive is a bit loud on spinup but its very fast. And if that PSU is good quality I might jus get one for myself.

Ill have a look at it properly later when im in front of a PC but right now only thing I can see thats off is that you have ONE stick of RAM...(correct me if Im wrong) but you need 2 sticks for dual channel. So get 2x512 rather or if you can still afford it get 2x1GB which would be better for you since I think you said this is gonna be a Vista machine.

Aha! That would make sense yes. :p

Will edit...

With the additional RAM I would change the HDD down to a 250GB one to save like 500 bucks. The extra 150GB is not really needed.

Ok, I have made some changes above...

Stupid question, but does either the CPU or Mobo ship with some kind of fan for the CPU or do I have to buy that separately?

My PC when I bought it was also bought with all the parts coming from different places and the plan was that Ill just build it myself (the fun part). After reading about static and motherboards and how to put arctic silver on the cpu I lost my nerve and had it built for me. :(

Will this place just ship me the parts all in bits for me to put together then??

Nice thing about Cafeviva is that they do it for you for free...

just read up on how to setup pc, how to apply thermal paste etc, and get yourself a antistatic wrist strap (:p i didnt use one when i built mine) .....and you should be fine :).......look for specific instructions for your mobo, wit manual there should be instructions.....my motherboard is a dfi so i could refer to dfi forums for help :)

who knows....maybe prophecy can get someone do build it for you, speak to them..........but otherwise im sure you could ask someone to build it for you, some individual or a company is bound to do computer building for a small fee :)

Well I will definitely inquire about that. I don't want to be stuck faffing with screws and jumper settings when I have finally got the new machine!
