Hey there! so i been looking around for components to build up a desktop pc for myself, using it for browsing, few programs throughout the day & some gaming. Its pretty mid range although these are the components

http://www.ikonicit.co.za/motherboards/intel/lga1155/asus-p8p67-m.html Asus P7P67-M Motherboard

A bit unsure of these two CPU'S they have different specs as seen in the bottom of the page in the link
http://www.ikonicit.co.za/processors/intel-1/intel-socket-lga1155/intel-core-i5-2400.html i5 2400
http://www.ikonicit.co.za/processors/intel-1/intel-socket-lga1155/intel-i5-2320.html i5 2320
2320 has "Quick Sync Video + InTru 3D + Insider + FDi + Clear Video HD + Dual Display Capable"
I might consider another screen in the beginning of next year would this processor really be neccessary for a dual display ?

Really do not know what RAM would go best with this although i did look at the Corsair Vengeance 4GB DDR3 1600MHz

Graphics Card i will decide on either the Geforce GT440 / Radeon 6670

Looking forward to hearing your opinions thanx alot people :)

Basically for multiple browsing, music, skype, games now and then also, trying to keep on the 6k mark for now

Get DDR1333 with an i5. Only i7 can handle the higher speed RAM.

Take the 2400 if you must, but I'd just fork out the extra for a 2500.

Just stick to the i5 2400. The i5 2500k is only worth it if you have like R1k (incl. CPU cooler & P67/Z68 motherboard) bigger budget.

Go for a cheaper motherboard too: eg. http://www.ikonicit.co.za/motherboards/intel/lga1155/intel-h67gd-gardendale-retail-b3-revision.html

The graphics card that you're getting should depend on the games that you're going to play. If you want to play BF3 with a reasonable framerate, I would suggest looking at cards in the R1500-R2000 bracket - like the HD6850/HD6870.

yes the I7 can handle higher speed of ram. It can go around 2100mhz while the 2500k goes between 1800mhz and 2000mhz depends how lucky you are with you piece of silicon in the binning stage.
But overclocking the ram is useless anyway the cpus got big enough caches.

Thanx for that pada ive looked into the cheaper type mobo's that will suit the setup better, gfx card i aint too sure of now as we speaking about bf3, i was thinking i go for a motherboard with onboard vga for now until i buy myself a proper graphics card for gaming, so then i can go for the i5-2500k with a nice cpu cooler & motherboard with onboard vga, only thing is having a onboard vga when i get my proper graphics card, will it affect anything ? Shovenose what do you think about scrapping the gfx for now until i get one myself, my budget is R6000

If you want a pc for gaming then the first thing on your list will be the gpu. A cpu won't give you more fps a gpu will especially if you play at high resolutions.
For R6000 you can easily put together a gaming pc.
Do you really need a R2000 cpu when a cpu way cheaper will give you the same performance?

See if you can find the Phenom X4 955be or X4 965. The 970 and the 975 is the same cpu as the above 2 mentioned just factory Overclocked more which they charge more for. But you can OC it yourself to that stock speeds. So get a
Phenom X4 955be /965

Gpu

Psu - Only need a 500w psu for the 560ti that's all the components included

The case you can get yourself. I always believe a case is like a woman we all have our own taste so what might me beautiful for me might be ugly for you. If you want to Oc then I suggest you get a aftermarket Cooler as well. Look if you can find the Coolermaster 212 Hyper. Its the best bang for buck cooler out there.

See there you got a pc that you will be able to almost max out most games at 1080p. All for under R6000.
