My new PC is really giving me some pain :(

Chaintech GeForce 7600GS 256MB
Creative Audigy Value
Acer 19" Widescreen 5MS LCD
Logitech Z5400 Speakers
Gigabyte GZ-X1 Chassis + Gigabyte 400W PSU

My Small Problems...

1.) Freezed twice on windows startup
2.) Unstable OS
3.) Unresponsive programs (which might be drivers)
4.) 6 Channel onboard audio does not work (Resolved by audigy)

My Big Problems...

1.) Graphical Blocks / Corrupted Display / Lines on screen on low resolutions (320x240) like in the bios and windows setup etc. does this with multiple monitors crt and lcd..
2.) Plug in any usb device in front port.....Wham...PC is off
2.5) Plug it in again and it works ???
3.) Turn off monitor.....Turn on monitor....no signal (hangs on acer logo)....can't turn off monitor again until you shut down the PC for atleast 60sec...???

What I have done sofar....

PC Mark 2004 + 3D Mark - PASS
Prime 95 full day torture - PASS
Memtest 86 Full day run - PASS
Bios updated
Drivers updated
Motherboard swopped

Please help

Overclocked RAM?
CPU temperature?
Bad PSU?

Cpu temp idle 39c
Cpu temp load 45c
No Overclock

Killadoob: I'm not a fan of intel and this problem has nothing to do with the brand of CPU...the machine was bought in components.

Some more notes..

Monitor not connected to PC PSU
Graphics startup problems not constant....happen intermittend

Those cpu temps are fine. The first thing I'd swap out would be the graphics card, if that didn't work then I'd try run the system outside of the chassis to check that its not a bad contact there.

Also run a memory test

Did that already as stated in my first post

and I did run the system outside the chassis :(

I'll get them to swop the VGA card...but some of the other problems I just can't relate to the VGA card being the problem

Process of elimination more like it, you've changed/swapped everything except the graphics card right? Whats the common denominator?

the problem with buying part from every tom dick and harry is when they dont work

now you have to take everything to everywhere

why not take to 1 place see how much they would charge to test everything :)

i know rectron will do it for 180

Most was bought from Frontosa.....and for them to test sounds like a mission...the problems are to intermittend...

got the same problem :(
its the gfx card

Just as an aside what did that PC cost you darkwater?

about R3100 without the LCD

Well I tested the graphics card in another PC...Messed!
I've also tested my USB issue with another front module of a case and it works....the front USB on my chassis is ...Messed!

So that resolves 2 problems I had....now I just need to sort out the unstability which may have been caused by the faulty VGA Card...will see what happens when I get my replacement

got the same problem :(
its the gfx card

Whaaaaaat??!! serious?? jeez...well i did send the card back to Sonic Informed....listen to this cr@p... They don't have stock (fair enough) but now they gonna send the card to Chaintech international ...eta 30Days or so..

- What happend to your broken card???
