Hi all,

My current contract is due for renewal. I have a s3 mini. Battery is gone and the phone barely lasts 4 hours on use.

My wish is to go to prepaid and buy a phone cash. Reason being is that all I use is data and my current balance is always above R1k calling time on MTN.

Phone cost should be below R4k. I cant see the point of spending more as the most I will be using it for is to to surf the net during the loo. And google maps.

Was looking to buy from http://store.orange.com/za/

So what do you guys think? First time buying from Orange.

Check if it is possible to buy the G7 locally.Buying a phone from orange isnt a smooth process,i was lucky to get my tablet during the stipulated time.If you have patience and you are willing to constantly contact orange, then make a purchase with them.Refunds take 30 days to be processed and if you pay them via eft select instant transfer option.Iy takes orange roughly 5 days to acknowledged your eft payment

The P7 also looks like a good phone at the same price point.

Have you ever worked on a 6" phone?, its HUGE, i made the mistake with the Nokia 1320, Fantastic phone, but the size is quite a turnoff. The Specs you provided are also not the same as the ones on GSMARENA.
If its 6" you want, also check out the Nokia 1320.

If you want a Huawei phone buy the G7.The G7 has a snapdragon 410 processor, it is better than the processor in P7.Try to buy a phone with a snapdragon soc, they produce less heat, more likely to receive updates, gaming is better and have custom rom support.

Thanks for the info.

I'd highly recommend a P7. But first, take a look at the classifieds and Carbonite if you don't mind a secondhand phone - there are some great deals out there :)

Had a look but nothing on there current and recent that can match the promo. And all the good deals go really quick.

R4k should get you a Note 3. Put up a wanted advert. It's never taken me longer then 2 days to find myself a replacement phone
