Hmmm, saw these outside a dealership today. Looks very nice. I'm sorely tempted to get a cheap, efficient car at the moment. The 1.2ex is pretty highly specced. Might swing by the dealership on Sat.

Really dawg?...Really?

LOL at first I thought that car was but ugly, but admittedly, I downloaded the Kia Picanto pdf file and had a closer look.
Bang for buck ... it grew on me. I'm thinking the EX model ...in titanium silver please .... with a sunroof to boot :D

I've always thought that the Picanto was a decent buy. This new one certainly looks a great deal more modern than the old Chipmunk one. Should be quite sweet.

the new one looks awesome, the GF should be getting hers (the previous shape unfortunately) today

for those that haven't seen it:

Had a quick look at what you get on the 1.2 EX and that is really good for what you pay.

SA is a bit on the slow side when it comes to new vehicles hey? But a nice car, def would have gotten this if it came out sooner

Quoting for posterity :D

from what i was aware it was only supposed to be launched next year, how long has it been on other markets?

Also thinking of getting one of these. Only problem I might have is will my size 10 feet fit in the footwell :) Guess I'll go check it out at the dealer :p

Hmm, I might have been wrong. I was in Korea early this year when I saw them all over, I guess its unfair to compare Korean cars in the Korean market with a SA one :p

lol, my size 9 feet fit in the previous model so i doubt you will have an issue :p

lol even if a year not bad imo, disgusting how long we have to wait for some makes/models

even when i was in nigeria earlier this year there were cars we didn't even have here yet :p

There are cars that are sold in African countries that never make it to the South African markets - fortunately, the ones that don't aren't that great.

TBH I thought the exterior looked a bit weird in the pictures.. Took my Cerato in for a service on Monday and went to take a look and wow.. how pictures can be deceiving it is really good looking, inside and out. Especially like the interior and the EX is feature packed even has bluetooth, sunroof etc. I am sure it will do very well and continue KIA in the good direction the brand is going. I hope they ordered a lot.. unlike the Sportages and Koups with massive waiting lists.

Some really good entry level cars now with the Figo, i10, Picanto etc.
