Hey

Im thinking about giving WOW a shot. Ive just been playing the trial for a bit and thought I might try the proper thing for a week or two. What's the best way to do this?

1. Can I download the full game client (From Blizzard of course) and then just use a gamecard or must I actually purchase an original copy of WoW in the shops?

2. If so, do copies in shops come with gametime or must you still buy gametime on top of that?

3. Also is there any gameplay difference between Burning Crusade and the original?
Do you get different items etc that you cannot get whilest playing the original WoW?

4. Finally, where is the best place to purchase, in Johannesburg, what I need to get started?

Thanks for the help

1. No, you can play but to activate an account you need a "key"
2. The game in the shops comes with 30days play time yes
3. No not really, appart from the extra classes you can choose, get the normal one and lvl till about 60 before you really need TBC.
4. I bought mine at Hifi-corp. BT games should also have them.

I'd suggest BTGames, buy through their website (cheaper than the actual shop) and then request a pickup at one of their branches closest to you. Would save you around R80 if I'm not mistaken. I made the mistake of going instore, and got told the prices differ from the website to the store and yea... pfff...

Thanks guys!

Im looking forward to playing with some of you :D

Also, roll horde on Lightbringer EU

Pfft, give the guy a choice...

There are 4 different servers:

PVP server - Separates the boys from the men... ganking, city raids and horde vs alliance skirmishes happen here all the time. If you see a player of the opposite faction, you can attack him to put it simply. (Twilights Hammer EU has the most SA players if you want a pvp server)

Normal (PVE) server - AKA Carebear server, Usual warcraft realm, you cannot attack horde and they cannot attack you unless your flagged (/pvp will flag you)

RP server - Hail brother <insert char name>. These servers are the most popular for role-players, where there are naming rules, and you can get banned for saying "lol" "noob" "wtf".

RPPVP server - This is a combination of RP servers and PVP servers.

If you do choose Lightbringer, there are SA guilds both Alliance and Horde side.
