To everyone out there that is looking for better service wait until february next year. We have another player coming to the ring who is not like Telkom and Sentech who are both government with all the democratic bull**** playing the politics and providing very bad service and bandwidth. I wouldnt touch sentech after what i have seen of the quality of their service and the non reply to telephone calls made to them FOR ASSISTANCE.

ROFL.

If you mean the SNO of Eskome and Transtell, which is 36% GOVERNMENT OWNED. Yes they are opening supposedly in Feb next year

Bigger network, can't complain no matter what kind of crap they try to pull bigger is always better.

I doubt the SNO will have too much of an effect on the current situation. Sure, it is competition, and that's great, however, they will probably be using a lot of Telkom's infrastructure. Don't expect sub Telkom prices from the SNO anytime soon.

You might be right on affecting Telkom in the present, but they do have their own infrastructure already in place with a Backbone line that they have set up a while ago but couldn't use till they got the licence they will start I believe with the large businesses and then move to the smaller consumers give it time it seems south africa is changing but change is never instant.
