New recall for Corolla

Toyota, the world's largest car manufacturer, said the recall was issued for Corolla and Corolla Matrix vehicles built between 2005 and 2008 "to address some engine control modules (ECM) that may have been improperly manufactured."

Toyota's have never been very good looking, actually ugly for the most part & come with nothing but a cigarette lighter. Only thing selling them 1000000000's is their reliability record I wonder if this could be a turning point.

I wonder who manufactured those ECUs. Lets hope the automatic transmission control units don't have bugs.

No...just a little side effect of trying to pump out more cars than any other motor manufacturer...it eventually catches up to you...

I agree, but this appears to be the trend across all brands these days. So many new models that seem to have some quirk or problem that seems to be accepted by the buyers "because my car has a maintenance plan".
