New Record for ADSL Install?

A small business client of mine ordered ADSL service on existing fax line NOT SELF INSTALL on Thursday 8:30am.
Telkom technicians turned up 12:30pm SAME DAY and line was up at 1:15pm
Congrats to Telkom Technical at Phoenix Industrial north of Durban

Consistency - That is all we can ask of Telkom. I don't think that is happening though as far as installations of ADSL lines go. . . A search of this forum will prove my point.

He probably walked there as one of the biggest Telkom yards in KZN is in Phoenix. Horrible place for lightning though.

Telkom adsl waiting time is not bad at all in the Durban north area, i had to wait 1 day for my connection.

The factory I worked for before was about 1km away from the Telkom yard. We were hit a few time by lightning. My office overlooked ABI dispatch. I was permanently thirsty. LOL

I think Telkom's installation times have picked up significantly. It's only in those places where there are no ports available where you are going to wait.

Mine took 3 working days..applied the Thursday and was up the Tuesday (self install) - I must add, I phoned Telkom everyday!
