Hi guys ..... So heres the deal im building a new rig and so far ive bought an i5 3570k, MSI z77a GD55 mobo and 2x4gb Corsair vengeance 1600mhz ram modules, I'm just waiting to save up more money to get the rest of the components for my rig. I'm kinda settled on getting a NZXT phantom 410 case, Corsair gs800 PSU, Corsair H100 closed loop water cooler. The Graphics card will be last thing on the list as it will be the most expensive im unsure about that but leaning towards a gtx 560ti sli setup or a gtx 670 on its own . will probably run a small ssd for the OS and a 1TB 7200rpm 64mb cache hdd but that's negligibly. any suggestions, comments?

Ram is so cheap comparatively I will still agree with the 2*4G's suggestion. Donate the 2G's to a friend.

Just a note - there is only one GTX670 to consider IMO. It is this card:

http://www.wootware.co.za/gigabyte-gv-n670oc-2gd-geforce-gtx670-2gb-256-bit-pci-e-3-0-28nm-desktop-graphics-card.html

This thing runs at full load almost silent - and a good 550W will easily run this card (Antec True Power 550, Coolermaster GX550, Corsair GS600, XFX Proseries 550 etc). If you look just at power requirements, cost, heat and noise the Gigabyte GTX670 is a winner alone.

The GTX670 also has 2GB VRAM whereas SLI you will only have 1GB. This is also excluding the potential of SLI related problems. I am not sure what games and resolution you play at though GTX670 is a killer card and this one specifically ticks all the right boxes!! ;)

Thanks for that Wasabee! Well guess im gona have to break the piggy bank if I go for the 670 which is probably worth the time its gona take to rake up almost 5grand. Will just have to sit around with the intel hd 4000 integrated gpu for a while. I'm not a heavy gamer , more of a pc enthusiast (I build because I can) ;) , but will play at 1920x1080 with maxxed out details. just wana build a future proof rig so it'll handle demanding system requirements that we expect sooner than later. I usually work with DAW's aswell so its gonna be an allrounder. Plus im Indian, I'm gonna need the bragging rights of that wicked rig setup amongst my friends :D

Why? For most usage patterns it wont make a difference, and its sub optimal use of his 4 memory slots.

I will get another 2 x 4gb modules but not right now . The vengeance modules I have come with blue or black heatsinks. cos I got it cheap I just settled for it (the black heatsinks) but will get the ones with the blue heatsinks to match the blue and black mem slot pattern on the motherboard.

Then again theres no use in stuffing the mobo with a whole 32 gigs its just overkill unless you're doing some extreme computing like folding n stuff.
