Doubt it. By the time this plane is operational and in the hands of third world operators most likely to find themselves in a war with the West NATO/US missile technology would be so advanced they'd have little problem picking them up. Russia and China are at least a decade behind with their stealth technology.

No dog fights. US long range missile & sensor tech is still well ahead. Also ahead on drones and *miles* ahead on carriers.

Its gotten a lot closer though...the US fked up their latest gen fighters something fierce. (f35s). The navy/army/airforce couldn't agree wtf they want so they ended up with something that can do none of the 3.

The f22s should be able to hold the front for a while though.

AFAIK the F-22 Raptor is the air superiority fighter whereas the F-35 Lightning II is a JSF (Joint Strike Fighter) that is suppose to be a fighter-bomber (multirole).

/OT

That plane looks strikingly similar to the F-22 Raptor to be honest.

This. In anycase IIRC two variants of the F35 don't even have a gun in the first place.

Why does it have Soviet style insignia?

There are almost no specifications for that jet. How people are debating how awesome it is is beyond me.

Jet fighters are soon to be legacy tech. Nothing a swarm of drones could not handle very easily.

It also looks like there is 0 attempt to hide that fighter jets heat signature.
