Cricket South Africa, SuperSport sign deal for new T20 tournament

Considering the teams will be privately owned I assume this might actually work unlike that disaster of a league which failed a few years ago. Timing wise it will probably be after the Big Bash so might attract a few big names depending on Salary Cap

So basically they have gone back to Haroon lorgat's initial plan.

This is virtually what the T20 global league was going to be.
CSA just wasted 5/6 years in getting to the same decision...

Haroon is having a big chuckle somewhere as he was fired because it couldn't work.

Keep the IPL owners out of it completely. Create their own path and grow that. Who wants to watch the Cape Town Super Kings? Or Gqberha Indians?
Honestly there is no need to immediately allow IPL teams to have ownership. Develop the teams here locally like the Aussies have done with the IPL, grow the talent, and keep the money inside the country too. Focus on merchandise which is sold from within RSA.
That cost cap is very low though, so not sure we will attract the likes of Jos Buttler, or Kieron Pollard etc.
