New Sandy Bridge Build - Any recommendations

RAM - do yourself a favour and make sure you get something that runs at 1.5V

Interesting why do you say that?

Fail at quoting, lol

It is because the SB ram specs are 1.5v, +/- 5%

You can go higher, but better to play it safe.

Yes...they've stopped making a brand new chip that was launched on the 5th of this month (note the sarcasm in reply to your sarcasm).

Stock was to arrive last Wednesday into JHB but never did, not due to poor ordering but due to stock restrictions from Intel.
Not another excuse, just the simple reality of he chaos that is the December break and the the catch up we need to play while the eggnog and beer works off.

Dude sometimes i have hope for humans and then i read your posts and the negativity sets in.
Yes this is a setback for me. Wasting another 2 or 3 weeks tends to generate a bit of negativity. Maybe I should toi-toi or burn tyres. I'm quite amazed at the mediocre response to a very poor situation, regardless of who is to blame. Again, fodder for those who believe this is a backwater of our own making. Tell me which European dealer would reply to a customer like that??

2500k has also either been by far the most popular chip or Intel made fewer of them. Other places with small markets such as ours, like Singapore, are also out of 2500K/2600K.
