Nick Monohan and his family move from Chicago to a quiet, upscale planned community called The Gates, where he will be chief of police. They soon realize that their neighbors are not who they seem to be.[2][5][6] The Gates is filled with different beings such as vampires, witches, werewolves, and succubi. The parents at The Gates will protect their children from the outside world even if it means lying for their misdemeanors.

So whos watching this?

Any good?

Just watched an episode now (ep4) after reading this thread ..... it's not too bad, not excellent but watchable. Kinda like a Vampire Diaries but expanded.

Have watched the first 3 episodes... it's OK but not spectacular.

I tend not to watch many shows that are aired around this time of year (the American summer). They invariably end up being canceled due to low ratings, which is highly annoying if you start getting into the show.

Ive started watching it, don't watch vampire diaries so this is something new for me. Quite enjoy this show

Its getting better as it progresses. At the moment its just "ok". Give it a go and see how you find it, its worthy of a look.

Vampire Diaries = Twilight = Not good!

nothing could ever out-ghei Twilight ..... nothing ..... ever!

There is NOTHING gay about The Vampire Diaries.

And about The Gates, it's a good series. Not the best ever, but as it progresses the story improves.

I'm also still watching it ...... at least it's not more emo crud. Think a supernaturally tinged Brothers & Sisters.
