Sigma just announced a whole bunch of updated and new lenses:

Sigma APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM

Sigma 17-50mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM

Sigma APO 50-500mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM

An interesting development is the Sigma 8-16mm F4.5-5.6 DC HSM. This gives roughly the same field of view as the 12-14mm does in full frame bodies. In other words, you've got to watch your feet!

And an exciting one is the Sigma 85mm F1.4 EX DG HSM. For Canon shooters, this could be interesting, since Canon doesn't have a 85mm f/1.4, and the f/1.8 model, while very good, does not have circular aperture blades, so this fills the gap nicely. Too bad they didn't put OS on it too.

Price will be the determining factor with these..

But I'm definitely interested in these...

Yeah true. But considering the price tag of a 85mm 1.2 - I'm hoping its way closer to the price tag of the 1.8. I have the 30mm 1.4 but hardly use it. I'm more inclined to have distance between me and my subjects so the 85mm seems more interesting.

Considering the price of the 30mm and 50mm primes, I'd thing the 85mm should settle (after the initial high prices) to something marginally higher than the Canon 85mm f/1.8.

Personal preference there. I'm not a fan of the flat look that longer focal lengths give - close up perspective is far more interesting to me. Some of my best portraits was done with my Sigma 10-20mm :)

I've got a feeling I should have sold my 150-500 last week. :o
