Hi,

My line at work went down and when it came back up, I had the following stats:

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 24543 kbps 1019 kbps
Line Attenuation 4.5 db 1.9 db
Noise Margin 8.9 db 12.2 db

Can anyone explain? I'm not on VDSL (don't have a VDSL modem).

Thanks.

that looks like the max speed of ADSL 2+ maby they didnt set the 10mbps profile , enjoy that while it lasts

Max speed was 6.1Mbps, but that could be limited by data account.

If you have a capped account try doing a speedtest then, doubt you'll hit full line speed with an uncapped account :)

strange
a 20mbps vdsl

should be 20480 and not 24543 kbps

maby its a it max speed you can support on a 40mbps
just like a 10mbps line but i get 6/8mbps on stats

enywas luck!

lol Telkom must've updated an incorrect line number...
Better hope you don't charged for it..

Is it possible to get the 24Mb max throughoutput with an ADSL2+ router when on 40Mb VDSL? I saw someone had that exact same sync speed when they weren't using a VDSL enabled router...

I cant contribute anything new to this but it is intriguing.
If you did the speedtest what was the result?
And of course mum is the word if you are getting that throughput

Regards

Tim
