New Subaru XV

Yes, Subaru SA, in their wisdom, have decided not to bring it in..........

Of course, which model do 90% of the people who come on to the floor want...? You guessed it...the turbo diesel.

At times I wonder if they actually want to succeed in this country! :(

Thanks Fazda, hopefully they see the light. Jozi needs it badly and I'm not dropping 100k more for a countryman.

What is the max price one should pay/offer for a 2006 Legacy 3.0L sedan, 70k kilo's on clock ?

A lovely car that you can actually pick up for almost nothing - max price would be around 90, but you could get it for around 60/70

Seriously? 60 -90 K

That does sound a little low though. Still one (2007 model) on Autotrader for R 179,900

I saw the car, it's in mint condition.
I was told R155 000 from another Subaru source.

While I was between my two 2012 Foresters (the first one was written off with 4000KMs on the clock) I took the VX for a test drive. What a car! I'm trying to get the wife to get one next year, cos you have know idea what the world's best AWD does for you until you need it!

As for Subaru's 5 star ncap, I can attest to it. I walked away from a T-Bone while the guy that hit me spent 2 weeks in a coma! I ordered my next one 3 working hours after the accident.

I'm very pleased to hear that you survived the prang unscathed - the beauty of having Fozzie protection!! :D

I have photos of one that hit a bridge at 120 km/h, then fell down 30 metres on to its back in the river bed, and they walked away unscathed as well. So many people are quick to dismiss our cars because they aren't pretty, or some other inane reason - just wait until you need a car to get you out of trouble and I would rather be in a Subaru over anything else.

I like! IMHO looks better in black than in orange due to the sharp angles

I have just sold a Cherry red one at lunch time today and it looks stunning, The Cherry looks black in certain lights, and this car is stunning to look at.

Ouch!!! I totally agree with you, except I like the way my Fozzie looks :)

Me too - I think they are great, but these days many people think that unless a car looks like a KIA, it's not cool!! :(

Personally I feel the Kia/Hyundai looks get very dated very quickly! I really hope FHI don't start taking their design queues from them!

I thought you said that you sold a Chery, and was about to lol at you :D

Tribeca for me. Wish I had enough $$$$$. Will see if it'll still be produced in years to come.

Still no xenon option along with a few other things I'd think is normal for a >300k vehicle.

Only cool thing is that it comes with 5yr maintenance
