WASHINGTON — In a tape released Sunday by Al Qaeda's media wing, terrorist leader Usama bin Laden said President Barack Obama is "powerless" to stop the war in Afghanistan.

SITE Intelligence Group, a terrorist-monitoring firm that translated the address, said bin Laden, whose Al Qaeda organization was behind the Sept. 11 attacks, blamed the war on the "pro-Israel lobby" and corporate interests.

IntelCenter, another company that monitors terrorist propaganda, said the 11-minute video shows a still picture of bin Laden while audio of the address plays.

Bin Laden's address to the American people comes two days after the eighth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. He typically addresses the United States in a message around the Sept. 11 anniversary.

The purpose of his address Sunday, bin Laden said in the SITE translation, is "to remind you of the causes" of Sept. 11, chiefly "your support to your Israeli allies who occupy our land of Palestine."

Bin Laden argued against the claims that the war is necessary for U.S. security, saying current White House officials are merely following the strategy of former President George W. Bush and former Vice President Dick Cheney to "promote the previous policies of fear to market the interests of big companies."

When Obama became president and retained many of the Bush administration's military leaders, such as Defense Secretary Robert Gates, "reasonable people knew that Obama is a powerless man who will not be able to end the war as he promised," bin Laden said.

"If you end the war, so to it," bin Laden said. "But if it is otherwise, all we will do is continue the war of attrition against you on all possible axes."

Clearly his Islamist agenda doesnt offer much in the way of free thinking and brain power (assuming he is even still alive).

This is what will happen if Bin Laden attacks America again.

1) Americans will elect a Republican leader again *and I dont think the world could handle another one of those right now*
2) Americans will quadruple their efforts in bringing down Islamists and Islamist states.
3) A lot more people will hate Islam because of Bin Ladens Islamist agenda.

FoxNews is a terrible source.. its about as reliable as RussiaToday or Alex Jones websites.

I know, I saw it all across Google News.. so? Even AlexJs and RTs sites have some accuracy. I was just taking a friendly dig at the news channel for dumb people (Yup, that was another one).

Evidence which includes audio in original arabic would be helpful.

1.) They don't need one now, they do it every now and again and use a sweet democrat as PR in between. Obama changed nothing and in fact has only been slowly ratifying all the Bush administration has imposed.

2.) Quadrupling will happen based on economic need. They'll first draw up and income-expense report. Even if they quadrupled their efforts, it would only garner greater resistance to them and more open-mouthed naive wonder at future terrorist activities.

3. ) People hate Islam because of the US agenda.

I cant debate with that kinda reason or more accurately complete lack of it. Its completely beyond my ken but I am sure others have the time to sift through your reply. Your way of thinking is part of the problem and the exact same as GW Bush and Marine1 . you are just two different sides of the same coin.

Osama is sooo 2001. He's powerless now and Al'qaida are merely a shadow of their former selves. They hold no power in the Arab world and nobody actually cares what he says so let him sit in his cave making movies all day long because its all he's ever gonna do :)

My kind of reason is smiliarly what your kind of reason looks like to others who dont hold your point of view.

Your only reason for arguing otherwise is because of a choice.

Because truth seems to be garnered from a government which has been continously found guilty of numerous coups', starting wars, using media to fuel and support. Yet you believe that an attack on them, investigated by them and information fed by them is objective.

And just like GW you are a sucker for logical fallacies. Dont misrepresent my opinion. I believe your opinion is absurd and completely self serving.. just like the Republicans.. but Im not ganna do anything about it except keep educating people against views that lack reason. Its their choice to decide whats best for humanity.. and to decide whether or not to protect other individuals religious, political and economic interests. You are welcome to your opinion, it lacks reason or credibility to me, but like GW it makes sense to you.

As I said.. different sides of the same coin. I wonder who pockets it though.

Lets hope so. They really took a battering in Iraq but I doubt they've been finished off. I guess Dubya did something right then :erm:

What did i say that's unreasonable?

Can you provide evidence for what you stated concerning events and groups involved?
You made many statements concerning a group and events, and you would regard your information as credible.
Reading my post, if you believe thats a credible route you took, then i feel concern for those that you plan to educate and reason with.

I think I mentioned earlier I cant debate with people like you. I really dont have the patience or the energy to walk people through the obvious all the time. I saw this article many hours ago and I glanced at it, but couldnt be bothered to post it here. Do you know why? I dont care. The sooner you lot kill each other off the better the rest of us will be as long as you dont pull the rest of us down into your sickness (yes I know this sentence is mean and hypocritical but Im over all this carp). You guys enjoy just carry on enjoying killing and hating other people protecting manipulative political financial interests of a wealthy few. They totally have you pwned.

For me there are bigger more important issues for humanity than this lameness. Its all yours kido, enjoy the fight and the hate. Its what you all want. I couldnt care less so this is my last post in this thread. Say hi to GW for me. Everyones poo stinks.
