I am not extremely knowlegeable in this area but I have heard about certain new technologies which could be used to connect to the internet and we could bypass Telkom if there wasn't that law about the transfer of info having to go through a Telkom line.
Is there any way that this will become legal in SA? Because the way I see it Telkom is not only holding SA back by offering bad service they are now holding back the IT industry and numerous other industries by putting limitations on development.
How is it that in our supposedly demorcratic system (which I believe should be synonymous with free market trade) that Telkom is still so powerful?
