Dear MyBB Forum...
Need some advice w.r.t a new ADSL line installation. I want to connect my mom's house with proper (uncapped) internet so she can get in to the world of streaming TV, and most importantly to cancel DSTV. At her address her only viable option is ADSL, and Telkom has confirmed that they will be able to install. (No Fiber and no LTE-A options for her unfortunately, I have checked) The area is Nigel Gauteng
I remember in the past Telkom would install the line for free as long as one took out a Weekender call plan (or something of that nature), but now when I am making inquiries they are pushing me to sign up a 24 month contract. Installation is free on contact, but they want to charge an installation fee for a month to month arrangement. I am not signing a contract with Telkom...
Is there still some work around to get a line installed and not having to pay the installation fee? Maybe signing up through an ISP like with fiber?
Thanks a mil for any helpful advice
