It seems Telkom has updated its coverage map for FTTH.

Still not covered :-( But it seems Kleinbosch, Pinelands, Rondebosch in Cape Town is about to get fibre.

Lol they don't seem to update things when they've finished jobs. Some areas have recently been covered for VDSL and they're still light green which indicates a rollout.

I saw then laying that very same yellow cable in Stellenberg this week.

I saw them laying it in Protea Valley, but when i called Telkom (spoke to sevral perosn) they said it wasn't in the planning, just passing through type of thing...

Interestingly, not all of Rondebosch and Pinelands is on the radar this round. Hopefully to be included in a future round.

Frustratingly, I'm now 150m outside the Rondebosch coverage area.

Rondebosch will be getting Frogfoot FTTH next year I believe.

In Durban they certainly planning to cover large areas soon. Many new Telkom Ford 4X4's around...
