New Tesla Model X 60D unveiled

322km range. So, if I go to Durbs for the weekend, can I recharge in Harrysmith, and how long will it take ?

Don't mind waiting over a meal.

But seriously, would love one of these, but in Zuma rands it is rather expensive, especially once you add Zuma taxes, as required to keep the Zuma gravy train/plane going.

+1

I think AutoExpress UK did a review of a long distance drive with the Tesla/BMW i3 between European cities. On paper, they have enough mobile charging infrastructure to support electric cars. In reality, there were glitches highlighted by the road tests. i.e. some infrastructure works on BMW but not on Tesla vice-versa. They need to standardize infrastructure.

My conclusion is these cars are great for daily commuting. Tesla X 90D has a 450km range which would be perfect for daily commuting to work, school or even JHB-PTA trips.

I want electric cars to look like this -

That being said, I think Tesla is greatest company in the world.
