New "Tiny" PC Build

If I had to change the case to m-atx - which motherboard would be the better option then? Either of the two i mentioned earlier or something else?

The MSI board is the better of the two you linked.

Ok great, so if I stick with the current components and change the board to the ASRock one all should be good?

Any comments on the PSU question?
I use a thermal take PSU in my case (coolermaster elite 120). Need to upgrade eventually but for the moment it serves its purpose.

My setup is almost identical to what you want. I have the Asrock board you linked, the i5 4590 from PotterH. Coolermaster elite 120. I also added a used Gigabyte GTX660 Graphics card. The Coolermaster cases accommodates most graphics cards from what I've read. The 660 is quite big, and it fits, just about.

Yeah I wanted to goth CoolerMaster Elite 130 but see it also mini-itx so now I am stuck again... Not sure what to do as I don't game on PC at all, this is specifically for a Plex Server and HDD's to replace my HP N40L.

Ok it seems I am going to go for a mid-tower case so now would you still choose the MSI m-atx board or rather a full size like this one: ASRock B85 Anniversary as they are similar price.

I would go for the full size one, more RAM slots, more PCIe slots, overall leaves much more room for future expansion, say if you want to add more USB 3.0 or if you want to add more SATA ports.

Yeah I was thinking the same.

Also the more I look at i, the more I believe a core i5 will be way overkill for my needs and can maybe save more and put towards an extra HDD or something if I go for an Intel G3258 or is that a bad idea?

Hahaha its identical... So that CPU should be able to easily do the job? My only concern is that mobo is not in stock and not sure when they will receive stock again.

CPU will be 100%, I already have mine waiting for a board and case.

On the Wootware site just click confirm availability and they should respond to you with a time frame.

Snap! Just done that.

Cool. Then I will go that route and if I feel later I want to upgrade, will then buy the i5 CPU but pretty sure I won't be doing that for a while.

And between these two PSU's:

Thermaltake LitePower 450

or

Corsair VS450

There is quite a price difference between the two so just want to know if it worth going the Corsair one or should I take the cheaper one? I will have a bout 4 HDD's that need to be connected.

That's easy. Corsair.

Also Corsair has 3 year warranty and Thermaltake has 2 years.

Just got a reply from Wootware and they not sure when new stock will come in and if it be the same price so they recommend this one:

ASRock Fatal1ty - it is R400 more than the other one, should I just go for it or is there another option closer to my budget? Maybe another online store?

The newer Thermaltake PSU's are actually pretty decent, but I have a Corsair CX430 and would recommend Corsair all the way.
