New to mac

Hey guys. About two years ago i visited an istore in jhb and was amazed when i played with osx. Apple have finally opened an istore in durban this month and i'm the proud owner of a macbook. I absolutely love osx and everything works the way its meant to. No more pc and windows for me. Can't wait for Leopard and ilife 08. I can now fully understand why apple fanboys behave the way they do. Apple rocks.

Lets be serious, the iPhone is not that great - lots of 'phone' functions missing. Its more like an iPod with a phone chucked in . lets not get into the non removable battery, lack of 3g/HSDPA.. What megapixel is the camera?

The scaling back is also due to the fact that sales are not what was expected.. besides - they must concentrate on Leopard now

I think whole Broadcom/Qualcomm mess is why there's no 3G in the iPhone.

reading a couple of reviews on the iphone one gets the impression it is a crap phone with an awesome mp3 player...

i prefer my ipod... and nokia.

afaik, sales were less... but I may be wrong - did not follow the launch that much @bwana - I also understood that to be why no 3g was included in the phone

Doubt they would ever scale back iPhone production - if they really are - for a new iPod.

Great news mate.... I am also fairly new to the Mac world and its great... where can you have a W2K laptop switched on for 43 days without a restart, oh yes and hopping between wifi spots.

It will work if you leave it on the boot (F8) menu

I can see that working as a ipod nano video model. You need a respectably sized screen or its pointless. Hopefully they will just augment the existing nano line.

As for rebooting - who cares - its so quick anyway.
