It's modified sine. Depending on what you want to use it, I guess it could be good enough. It'll give problems for a number of device types.

I have a different power source for my fridges, microwave, kettles and so, excluded that from the inverter. Will my computers be safe on this current inverter? If not, it feels like a cheaper option to get a UPS vs paying an extra R10000 minimum for another inverter.

Oh nice, thank goodness, that was my biggest concern. Well, at least I did one thing right, kept the kitchen out of the loop lol.
