Hey,

So I got a new number and a new phone through Telkom Mobile which is running on prepaid. I want to get a prepaid data bundle but I'm not sure about the difference between their blue (TM) and green (All Network) data bundles? Do they mean if you're using a fixed device (e.g. 3g dongle) vs a phone? Or do they just mean that I only get coverage in certain areas with the cheaper data? Also, how long does the prepaid data last for?

The blue (tm) is for if you have telkom mobile network. i.e. You're not on MTN roaming. If you know you'll have TM network, get the blue data, if not, get the green (which is for roaming)

But most places will have decent TM network

Basically because Telkom mobile don't have that many towers up yet they signed a roaming agreement with MTN for where you don't have Telkom signal.

All network data is for when you roaming on MTN and TM data is for when you have Telkom coverage.

Thanks guys.

If you not sure if your area is covered by Telkom Mobile visit their website. You will be able to view a map with their coverage and roaming partner.

Alternatively you can do a network search if you see a network 65502 then you've Telkom Mobile coverage.

i recently got an Telkom Mobile contract sim and cellphone. i ported from Vodacom Prepaid , so i kept my number. I see now that i roam on the MTN network most of the time. i got an prepaid telkom mobile sim and it works fine. so it cant be network coverage. when i do a network search, sometimes i dont see it on the list. is there an setting i can change ?? maybe its sim ??

Is there a price difference for either option? Is the green more expensive?
