I think it's time to swap my TV, i have been looking for a long time,
and the hisense K680 seems like a good choice.
My requirements:

- UHD
- Passive 3D (why is 3D so rare now?)
- 50" or more
- Under R10000 (but willing to go slightly higher)

I don't care about smart/os/wifi/ethernet as everything will be running off my media centre PC (running Kodi).

The reviews on the K680 are mixed....but most of the complaints are with regards to the software....
does anyone have the K680?
any thoughts?
thanks....

I see its not hdmi 2.0?
how important is it?

No one makes 3D anymore, it didn't take off as it was expected too. Also that TV is almost two years old now?

ok, can someone recommend me a tv, without 3d.
I see HDR is the next big thing....

I would hold off because of , as you mentioned, HDR. Most TVs bought now are just about obsolete and in a year or two, you'll be kicking yourself.

If you can hang ten, do it and get a 10 bit HDR panel with HDMI 2.0a. You'll thank me shortly!

Just go Plasma man, it's the superior tech to everything. I miss PP sometimes.
Yup the best bet is to hold off for a little bit
