Why would you even push marketing gimmick like that?
And you base this on what, being neither an owner nor someone with detailed 1st hand experience with this set?

On my D6000 there is noticeable improvement in motion detail with both Motion Plus (DSP frame interpolation) and LED Motion Plus (synchronized LED backlight strobing) enabled, in comparison to just Motion Plus on its own.

It's 100Hz. 200 CMR. NOT 200Hz.
Semantics, the backlight strobing adds the equivalence of an additional 100hz.

This combination solution actually provides superior motion resolution to the older method of only relying on (higher clocked) frame interpolation, in two ways. Firstly it avoids the additional artifacting from generating more interpolated frames and secondly it hides LCD's slow response times by turning off the backlight LEDs during the instant of transition.

I've seen the jvc's in action at direct deals in woodmead. I suppose lighting conditions in the shop didn't show the reality. But just my 2 cents. Presentation/quality and the media feature of the jvc were not great. Go have a look for yourself, even if under showroom conditions, put a jvc next to a Sammie and a Sony - and make sure they connect all 3 directly to a bluray player playing the same demo. The answer is right there :)

I won the 40 inch Sony Bravia with Telkom in 2010 and I must say that tv set is THE BEST. The quality is supurb. You can see the difference between the cheaper models. Not to say they are not good but I love the sony I got. Samsung is also very good. My friend got one and its really good.

I think the best way to get a accurate display of the diffirence between the tv's is to go to a place that have the models on display and play the same blu ray on each one. That gives you a hands on eperience of what you will get. Obviously if you compare a R10 000 model with a R5 000 model there will be a big diference so keep that in mind too.

I heard people say stay away from those brands cause they suck but when you check the price gap its like R2000. So you need to decide if the price diference is worth it or not. Just my 2c

The above needs to be done in dimmer viewing conditions/test room. Unless they live in a brightly lit room, and don't watch TV at night, or have bright ambient lighting at night. Very unlikely scenarios. Testing TVs on brightly lit showroom floors leads to judgement by brightness. The worst thing one could do, since brightness =/= picture quality.
