Hi All.

Super new, first post...
If a thread exists already please share it with me.

Im getting back into gaming after like 15 years and I currently have Telkom LTE 60gb at home. Its always been fine just for browsing the web and watching YouTube. But not gonna cut it anymore.

Theres no Fibre in my area and I tend to move around with work so ADSL doesnt make sense (hence the LTE).

Question is what is my best option for LTE to use for Xbox gaming and Netflix? Seen 200gb offers but want a month to month.

Any help appreciated.

Tx

RAIN Mobile product,
R250 per month, month to month, UNCAPPED between stipulated hours of 11PM and 6PM the next day.

all the other offers from MTN, Telkom, Vodacom, CellC really everything Pales in comparison to this.
as one can stream and play games freely between the stipulated times

limitations, obviously the times, and also some throttling and shaping for obvious reasons.
also the speeds vary quite a bit,

but what do you expect for an UNCAPPED product that needs no Fibre.

I suppose you get what you pay for.

Telkom Month to Month should work - their offers are called "50gb" or "100gb" but are actually more than double that - so the 50Gb option is 100Gb + 100Gb and the 100Gb option is 200Gb + 200Gb.

Thank you, do you know where I can find those deal on their site? Link maybe?

I would say so, but what you have to be aware of is that your streaming sites may automatically bump up the quality of the videos after it detects the high speed, so 10 minutes of youtube goes from x Gb to y Gb. Same likely goes for Netflix or others. How much is enough is hard to say.

Makes sense ill just have to see what the lesser of two evils is. Sucks that Fibre takes so long to roll out.

Thanks for the advice:thumbsup::cool:

If I'm not mistaken, one can set the quality of Netflix's stream via a web browser when logged into ones account. That should also help if one has a data cap to take into account :)
