every reseller i call says they don't have stock of the black utd 'cause they're trying to get rid of the white ones or something. anyone know where i can get one?
 
The new ones do look alot sweeter, and are smaller too I think, no idea though they just look it.

BBICTH should be able to help you out, he got some of the new UTU's so im shure hes got some new UTD's. But maby they also dont want to give them out.
 
Oh yah your right. They also removed all mention of 64kb speeds once throttled.... hmmm. maby they are trying to catch us on technicalities if we want a new modem or a stable 64kb after capped, they'l just say that it isnt part of the deal any more.

Sucks that they took the new modem away, but he Laptop antenna is stil of the new stock, I thik they just have to may old modems to start using the new ones yet. Hopefully it'll be backin the few weeks or months..

but they even removed the firmware download for the new type of UTD.. perhaps there was a fault in them?

In my opinion bad timing on the part of iBurst, it seems to be very difficult to get the balance of:

introducing a 'cosmetically' new device,
completing sufficient testing,
along with shifting current stock.

Someone must have thought it be a good idea to introduce and coincide the newer look devices with the rebranding of the group...

I haven't queried the latest status with regards the newer look UTD's. The last I checked it was 'still being tested'. I questioned the stock of the UTU's, after I got for my testing purposes and I got a mixed answer. The signal is ok'ish. I haven't particularly ordered more of it since. Awaiting feedback from iBurst.

'Newer Look' UT-D yes. Available - No clarification as yet. Status - Most probably still testing.
 
the y are just trying to sell out the old modems before bringing out the new utd.why don't you phone iBurst self an dfind out if they can help you with the new utd? :)
 
yeah i got one of them black ones.

looks neat n works great once i got the new drivers off the website... the drivers that come along on the cd wont let u use the usb connection. the ib icon in the notification area will say ur terminal aint connected

Howzit.

Just recently joined with new UT?

I'm also looking for people that had the old one and now have the new....Opinions? Notice anything different?Anything to share?

TG they realised and got rid of the 5 LED's :)

Your problem was strange...anyone else have that?

We never use the CD's for drivers with any installation, my contractors just download straight off the web....but will double check that and give iBurst feedback.Thanks
 
So what is the new way to check your signal offically on the UTD's?

There must be some sort of indication right.
