Right guys with much hesitation I have taken your advice and created a new website using one of the templates available from weebly.

The new website is currently at: http://easyscancoza.weebly.com

The old website is at: http://www.easyscan.co.za

1. Please compare the two and tell me which one you prefer?

2. Is transferring the new website to my .co.za domain as simple as saving the pages in html format and uploading via FTP or will I still have to go into the code to adjust addresses of files, directories and images.

Please remember I'm a newbie to website designing so if you think the new website is just a wack as the old one, don't voice it :)

3. My template has a button on it which when clicked I want to automatically scroll down to where the body content begins .i.e reposition the page to where the content start. For example on the Home page it says "Click for more services" and the services are below so when clicked I want the page to reposition to where the services begin showing instead of linking to another page.

Does anyone know the HTML code for this wikipedia uses it a lot whereby if you click on a link on the linklist on top it repositions you to where the content for that link begins on the same page?

I prefer the new one at http://easyscancoza.weebly.com/ - but I must be honest and say that it still needs a bit of work. The graphic you have in the background is nice but the text thats sits on top of it, there isn't a good contrast so it makes it difficult to read.

The other thing is the icons are a bit 'noisy' and the aspect ratio on some of them has been squashed.

My final critique would be to get those squares at the bottom to all have the same size (width/height) so there is consistency on the site.

Well that was a good first post. Top tip, personal information usually goes in the signature section.

I'd also use iconography rather than photos, check out iconfinder.com

The picture of the ship on the about page you can resave as a jpg (instead of png) at 84% compression/quality (should drop the filesize from 200kb to 50kb). Check all your images for this. If you don't have a program to resample the images check http://jpeg-optimizer.com/ and http://www.tinypng.com/

On your contact page, break the information into multiple columns instead of 1 long column. Change the font to be the same as the rest of the site. Only use the bigger, bold font for highlighting.

If weebly allows, put the contact info in the footer.
