The voice quality and connecting times are the same as fixed line. Can't tell the difference.

Call forwarding works, but the confirmation tones don't. So I can't tell if the phone is diverted with out test calling it with my mobile.

Fax works perfect.

Speedtest.net showed a ping of 41ms and 0.51Mbit/s using mweb 512k uncapped to CT at 2pm, I live 70km from CT.

I have clear LOS to the Hi-site which is over 10km away.

The brackets the antenna sits on are damn unsightly.

Disappointed that the siemens router is completely locked. This means it only does voice and PPPOE bridge. So you either make a broadband dial up connection on your pc or you need a router that can dial a remote pppoe connection if you have more than 1 pc. I bought a R399 4port wifi-n iptime router that can make dial a pppoe connection.

Had a power failure, phones don't work when there's no power anymore.

All in all, I'm happy. The service should be far more stable than the fixed line that was down at least once a month.

Must be telkom as they are the only ones that I know of that allow you to use your own ISP.

As for:

Kinda obvious and normal phones gets their power through the telephone line and since this is wireless... ;)
