New wireless network plans threaten GPS systems

GPS is a military lead project....worse case scenario the wireless transmitters mysteriously disappear in a cloud on napalm. The US military will never ever let anything interfere...its too mission critical for them (GPS guided cruise missiles etc).

So you reckon the US military will be using Cruise missiles on their own people at some time? Gee, I thought the US only liked bombing other countries.

No but if you intend to defend your country against (potential) attacks your tech working on home soil is kinda a prerequisite.

You know the Libya crisis? The US had B2 bombers do 25hrs runs from Missouri (home base) straight to Libya & back. Pulling that off is kinda tricky if you're rely on a map & compass....

Ah yes, I forgot about the paranoid mindset held by the warmongers.

Edit: Re. Only using a map and compass; What do you think the long-range bombers used during WWII?

The military will bomb 40,000 sites?

Hyperbole. They won't actually bomb anything. My point is the US military is crazy powerful within the US system and if the two systems interfere with each other the military will come out on top especially since the 40k transmitters don't exist yet.

In short it'll never get to a point where this is a problem. Either the two work fine side by side or the 4G network gets killed (/moved to another frequency) Too many powerful vested interest support & rely on GPS.
