New WoW Retail player

I think I will stick to 1 account for now. I opened a 10day trial account on WoW, that I will upgrade with my cd-keys when I get WoW. I leveled to level 5 in about 40minutes :D.

I'm really impressed with retail. You dont get a Private Server that is even CLOSE to the real thing. Cant wait till XMas when when I get my real account.

Do you like get a channel, where all the users in the game can talk with each other?? global or something like that.

I'm thinking of buying the Battle Chest, (its Classic WoW, WoW Burning Crusade and apparently some Guide books). Should be good for now. Do you think its worth it to buy WoTLK now, or should I wait till i'm closer to level 70? Our Local CNA and MUSICA store seems to have WoTLK instock. It might be even cheaper after a couple of months, when the demand for the game isn't that high anymore and shops wanna get rid of their stock.

Yea hold back on WoTLK. It's useless unless your level 68 ;)

Rather buy classic and tbc separately if you can, will cost you +-260 vs the price of the battlechest

You don't want to go to the most crowded servers, trust me ;) It is no fun having to wait 10-20 mins just to log in.
Almost all the realms have between 5000 and 12000 people on them depending on time of day.
Don't spam the general chat even if you desperately want to talk to a thousand other people ;) Rather do a few instances with people, if you like them, join in a guild with them. Or have a look around for a South African guild that are recruiting new players, like minded people always have more fun together.

Yeah I know.. I'm so far a Level 7 Human Warlock on Sporregar. I havent really seen alot of players. Maybe its just this time of the day...
 
Sporregar is a RPPVE server afaik. Get used to not seeing many people ;)
 
ravenholdt is a RPPVP realm and has good pve progression
 
OT but I remember TH being down for extended maintenance once and I decided to roll a character on a RP realm (Forgot the name).

I was gobsmacked when I logged on and there was a level 30 odd gnome standing there. He greeted me and proceeded to give me a tour and a small gift of a few silver and some food / water.

I asked him /ooc (It being a RP realm) and he said that his guild took turns to welcome new players to their realm. I did a /who xxxguild and they were a huge guild with guys raiding, PvPing etc. I really was blown away.....
