Howzit,

Just browsing the web I came across this site which is the wireless broadband provider called "woosh". They are using the iburst standard for the connection to end users. The exchange rate is R5 = 1NZ$

Checkout their Tariffs and see how we are being ripped off. It's sad. When is ICASA and the DOC ever going to see the light.

When will they give me a licence to print money ?

It's not iBurst

Minor correction, if I may.

It's not iBurst. It's TD-CDMA, also known as 3G/UMTS-TDD (Time Division Duplex) from a company called IPWireless www.ipwireless.com

It's the same stuff Sentech's MyWireless runs on.

:)

yaya another comparison falls on deaf ears :(

personally we should just collect all the money that users would use to pay telkom and go build a undersea cabling to Uk or so... I'm sure what 1mill people at R390 (adsl line subscription + phone rental) should be sufficient to get something in the works

DXL, if you think THOSE prices are low, you should see what their offering in the United States and UK. It's horrifying!
