sorry im new 2 this ..i currently use mirc to d/l stuff. i want adsl..which is the best and do ALL adsl have a d/l limit of certain no of gigs?

hi and welcome!
u currently use mirc to d/l stuff? first time i hear that u can use mirc to d/l stuff.
the ADSL limit is by your isp. there is a limit on ADSL Packages, you do get unlimited access though.
the cheapest at the moment is a 30GB Monthly Limit for R199/month(Just till 31 OCT 2005, dont know wats going to happen after that) by webafrica.
You will need to get a ADSL Line, you have the following options,
192 kb/s
384 kb/s
512 kb/s
And you will need an ISP, just like i mentioned above about webafrica.

It is difficult to answer. Most of the so called "uncapped" services are infact capped at around 30Gigs.

All the normal consumer packages have caps of between 2 and 4Gigs depending on what package you choose and if it is shaped on unshaped.

I use Axxess for my 30Gig account and have had zero hassle so far, but most ISP's being resellers of DSL accounts a simple hunt for the cheapest provider should suffice. But service does come into play every now and again and having a browse on the forum should give you a pretty clear indication of which ISPs are good service ISPs and which are not...

I have downloaded using IRC and it works pretty well...

:)

In short it is using the DCC file send and receive function that allows you to send files via IRC. Some channels have file serving BOTS that initiate downloads of files on the fly if you request a file in its list...

:)

Mostly illegal, but you get lots of open source channels and art channels with legal content.

Yeah I'm also using a 30GB Axxess account with HomeDSL192, no [major] problems & very stable [so far :D].

silkman, make sure you avoid at all costs, getting tied into a lengthly contract - either with Telkomonopoly or ISP or both - I recommend going for a 30 day notice type contract - I bought my own ADSL router [modem] to avoid being tied into a 24 month contract with Telkomonopoly...:)
