Newbie question on a 5kW backup system

Good day

Currently, I have a 3Kw system with Lead Acid batteries, I want to upgrade it to a 5KW with a lithium battery no solar as it is not allowed at my complex probably will put it in future if things change.

I did some research and seems the more I research the more confused I get. So I need some valuable help on the system to choose considering durability and cost.

Option 1 low cost
Lux Power Inverter 5KW Off Grid (LUX-SNA5000WPV) R13800.00 or KODAK Solar Off-Grid Inverter King with UPS 5kW 48V R12600.00

Option 2 medium cost

Option 3 High cost

The confusion I have is whether there is any benefit to going with the High-cost option rather than the low cost. I went through some threads here and some people were saying the medium option is a pretty solid one others were saying the high cost one is the way to go. I would not want to buy the high cost just for the brand names only.
 
Yea it is tricky weighing what you pay for what you get

And the also the same with sunsynk battery i mean if you have a battery that is 0.5c and can only use 1c under certain cinditions it turns a 5kw inverter into a 2.5kw inverter ?

So of the three i would go revov
No idea on quality of assembly ie how fussy are they with cellm atching as that is what matters most in these batteries since most bms's can't balance for **** anyway imo

The axperts seen some threads that say 5-6 years easy ,then sone have tibhave a cheap repair some caps

The expesive ones i don't know how kong they last ie if 10 years i would buy a cheapy replace it with a cheapy when it has hiccups and try and repair the old one for double the capacity

Cause a buddy of mine says the sunsynk doesn't play nice with sensitive electronics, so why oay a premium for a premium product that may /may-not be as premium as made out to be

He did say if wanting snazzy the sungrow with ip65 that can even be mounted outside is nice and since higher voltage even thinner cables

To be honest the more i think about this the more i am hooked on cheap inverter and whatever you would have spent on expensive inverter spend on more batteries and then panels a balancing act

As that is what brings down the roi ie if you roi quicker who cares if you need to buy a new inverter

If you essentially got the first one for free as by the time it packs up you got the money back already

  • What is your base load (what your home consumes when you are asleep)?
  • How do you heat water for cleaning your body? Besides a geyser, what other appliances do you have that are heavy users of current @240V?
  • How much is enough load-shedding? What stage do you want to survive without any impact? Tick the appropriate block:
    • Stage 4
    • Stage 6
    • Stage 8
    • Stage 10
    • Stage 12
    • Stage 14
    • Stage 16
  • Sanity check: How much power (in kWh) do you use per month?
 
The cheapest option could be to just change your existing batteries to Lithium? Unless you need more power than the existing 3kW.

I believe there are 10000s of happy customers with all the inverter options you listed. I have an Axpert that hasn't missed a beat in 8 years. But I'm going to upgrade to a Sunsynk - mainly because I like the fact they they are constantly improving the product.

I'd consider the AM-5 battery.
