Hi I got hold of a E220 modem from my dad..At the moment i'm still on dial up..he got it on a Vodacom contract but to busy to use internet at the moment(useless info)...anyway is it possible to put a Virgin sim in the modem and go windsurfing the net? Thanks

should be possible yes... just insert sim card (remove pin codes) and create dialup connection with that modem to phone number *99# (or *99***1#)

Thanks...I called the helpdesk for my wap settings (Motorola V3), as the settings I got via an sms came through as a string of question marks:confused:..Now I have been told that they will re-send it after i insisted I want it telefonically, and I was told the virgin network is down anyway...Hope I have better luck tomorrow

Gyro250Hz, you can try manually entering the settings I posted here HERE.

I did all the things you people said, but when I get to the dashboard it says Cell-C 2G (I'm using a Virgin Sim) and after clicking "Connect" it asks me to select a APN...it starts with Vodafone(UK)...and then I get a further message that I have to be on the Vodafone network to connect...any ideas? I'm thinking that the E220 modem is network locked...but its new

Thanks

Do a manual network search, then select Cell C and click on register.. then try connect , should work if not , uninstall and re-install with vodacom as the network.
