apparently i need a 879watt psu but when im playing games my system draws no more than 420watts max (yes i have a thing that moitors total wattage)
i think they over estimate just to make more sales on psu . . . bitches hehe

Perhaps these calculators have to cover the cheapo no-name brand PSUs and their poor quality power by over-recommending.![]()
Dude i highly doubt your system needs only 383 watt with a q6600 and a 383w if your gaming.

I'm sceptical on that too !!! I have OC'd my CPU, Ram and the GTX280 is factory OC'd too! I doubt 400W would be enough!
Well i don't think it is the size of PSU that matters really, quality i suppose as you say. My 550w antec runs my system which that calculator says i should need 632
