I am getting Error 482 - Authentication rejected on my IS news server today. Was working fine last night and suddenly authentication rejected. Anyone have any suggestions?
What should my login name and pw be?
I have tried the openweb ISP user/pass but no action!
Plz Help!

Ah well.. the IS NEWS server woes continue.
Any good paid for servers in SA?

wonder if they going to start implement authentication now... limit the number of connections people are making... thats a good sign that they at least doing something compared to the server is down,try again...
 
Not sure how that would help. Limiting threads maybe, but then I have never been able to get more than 1 thread going at a time...

How the ##$%^& are you getting a speed like that, I am flying by here at 0.01, if I'm lucky. I am at the point that if I owned a gun, I would go down and shoot them. I am totally fed up with this.

Does anyone have a phone number for some kind of IS helpdesk so that I can go and ruin there day. I am sick and tired of sending rude emails to OpenWeb as it is not their fault
 
Stopped for me completely as well. Guys like HighFlyer are chowing all the bandwidth!

*edit* O wait - I just got a 1Kb/s burst again!

Why bother...
Someone tell IS that the news server is prolly the only reason some people use them... I'm off to greener pastures if they dont sort it.
 
I dont see what the problem is... i'm getting 4 -5 times what u guys are ... BWAHAHAHAHA ... sigh :(

LOL I'm on 384, got those speeds for like 10 minutes then it died. Blame the 4 meg guys :p kidding
 
Business is closed on weekends remember. I so happen to be off tomorrow and Tuesday so i can benefit from a working news server. (I hope) :)
