news reading applicatin

i'm looking for a decent application for reading rss news etc i'm using akregator
not really liking the interface

I normally use opera for rss feeds

You could try out Liferea, which I use, though the interface is very similar to Akregator.

Also firefox has Live Bookmarks for RSS feeds, and you can also get RSS plugins for firefox.

Thunderbird also support RSS feeds so you may want to check that out as well.

If you want a online solution, maybe also try Google Reader...
