I am not sure this is the correct forum to ask about news servers but here goes anyway:
I am contemplating to sign up with a news server service - are there any people here with experience and if so which service would you recommend?

You can't go wrong with any of the big players - astraweb/usenetbucket/easynews. SA's nextgennews is supposed to be good but haven't used them.

I would get a trial account from as many as I can and give them all a test. Most offer trial accounts for a few days/usage.

I'm with usenetbucket - cheapest and best I could find for high speed internet.
