News Servers files

hey guys, hope this is the right section for this question:

K so last night i tried my hand at news servers for the first time..
I downloaded a video. Now i am left with a bunch of files right and no video.

How do i turn all these files into the video? Do i use a specific program?

sorry mate. I have 67 files. Some are .par files wilst others end in a number (eg: .....-xvid.047 and so on in order).
 
select all the rar files, right click, extract to folder ..... done ;)

Thanks dude, the thing is for another video i downloaded, i have about 10 rar files all with the same video in it.. I extracted it to another folder and it works:D

Yeah maybe the other video is damaged ill try the link killadood advised.

Torrents are way more easy but its nice to try something different :)

One of those will most likely be a .rar file.
Extract the rar file with winrar and then you should have what you downloaded.
 
If a file is damaged you need quickpar, then you click on a par file and quickpar will check the files and then repair them.

Actually torrents are not better than nzb's or easier, nzb's just require a bit of knowledge, learning curve i should say.

Thanks dude, going to download that program now and ill report back.

Yeah NZB's are not as bad as i thought - at first it looks like a very daunting task but i am learning now and it does seem pretty easy.
 
It is very daunting geez when i first got into i was like OMG this is hectic :D.

Of course back then this forum did not have very friendly nzb users so getting any info was not nearly as easy.
 
Sometimes files are rar'd even tho there is no .rar extention. It just starts with the first file ending in .00 All you have to do is right click, say open with and choose winrar.
 
hi, i kinda also have a prob using the grabit programme. ok iv downloaded a nbz file and now grabit is doing its thing, however it downloads the various parts (all par and rar files) but then give me a message saying unable to connect and then the arrow goes red? howcome it says unable to connect but the other parts are still downloading? yeah im at the OMG stage
