Hey guys

Ok i just downloaded my first movie from the IS news server. Thing is that the movie is like 70 files with no extensions?

What am i meant to do with these files? Sorry if its a stupid question.

No extension? Thats a bit of a problem...

What reader do you use? I have Grabit. It seems to put the files together.
But if there is no extension then any reader will have a problem

give examples of the files
eg:
file1
file2
file3

so we know what things are looking like
You should be downloading Mythbusters anyway :)

Files are called like 010f1874, 011a1674 and so on.

I got this from the IS news server and i used Grabit. Did i do something wrong?

Im using 1.6.2 Beta. Just downloaded it and went straight to server to download movie.

If i try open with winrar it says unknown file type or its damaged.

800+mb movie :/

These news server threads are starting to pop up all over the place again. I thought we had this issue sorted?

No offence or anything, Newshost has a forum for such discussions.

Do these files have a prefix attached to them?

Seems to be the old problem where Grab-It doesn't decode the files if the Grouplist wasn't downloaded first. (Thought is was supposed to be fixed in newer versions???)

So all the files are still in the cache, and needs to be decoded. You'll need yEnc do decode it.

Why would you go to another forum. MyADSL is the sherbert. Everything broadband related is here. And if, for some weird reason, you need any other topics, you have Games, Sport and everything else. Nay buddy. This place is where its at.

(Replace 'it' for the content you require)

 Usenet - never heard of it.

Moving on.

What? That sounds absurd to me. There is a link to 'download with Usenet' right next to the normal download on Torrent sites
