I was thinking ... If I use Newzleech to download NZB files, then use GrabIt to get the files using the news.saix.net server, would that apply to my Local or International bandwidth.......

Sorry about the NooB question, but I guess we all have to start somewhere.

I have been using this method with my Telkom account, but if this method works, perhaps one can get a Local account and download to ones hearts content.

The NZBs from Newzleech would be international - the rest local.

Thanks for the reply - Pity about that don't you think - lotsa nice things on newzleech - oh, well :(

it counts as local data. since u get the data streamed to you from news.saix.net wich is local.

But unfortunately, Telkom doesn't seperate your international data from local.

But you can go and buy a 10gig local only Saix account, u can use that account to get data from saix news server then :>>

Depends on where u buy , but i think some ISP's charge R15-R19 per gig for Local only prepaid.

If you specify to only use local news servers (like the SAIX or IS servers), then you can use a local-only account (the flavour would depend upon the server you wish to use - SAIX in your case) to get the data.

Bare in mind, however, that if the data you are streaming is not already cached on the local server, then you're going to get abysmally slow download speeds.
