newsgroups in Vista

I am on the verge of getting Vista, but I am unsure about its Windows Mail. I know you can get Microsoft Newsgroups on it, but are you able to get the others like news.saix.net. I just want to know about Windows Mail. I know of xnews.

Rather get Windows 7 Beta... it runs just fine. Don't pay for Vista. You will be buying a lame duck. Wait and buy Windows 7 later this year.

There are millions of free newsgroup readers out there in cyberland....

Grabit is a better client for grabbing big files off news servers with Windows.

But yeah... I wouldn't spend money on Vista now. Either wait for Windows 7, or use the beta that's already out.

Well, that's a good question. Is he wanting to use it for TEXT news or for BINARY newsgroups?

well vista works well for news groups. But i agree why dont you get win 7 beta? I have been testing it and its better than vista and xp. You can grab Win 7 beta from microsoft and they will give you a legal cd key.
