Hi Everyone,
Hoping someone has had the same problem and know whats going on. I have my local only and regular adsl accounts setup with raspppoe, router, billion 7300g, set to half route, like the billiontech has explained elsewhere, and routesentry works fine - all hunky dorey, until I try connect to the is newsserver. It just wont connect.
But when I disable the half bridge and jsut put the account details into the router it connects to the is newsserver perfectly...

Any ideas why this might be?

Thanks

Does the rest of your internet stuff work fine? Is the only thing that doesnt work in Half route Newsservers?

If you are using it in half-bridge mode then which account is stored in the router, the local or the int one?
Are your local and int accounts with different ISP's?

If you are unable to connect to the newsserver then its prolly because its using the wrong account to connect.
I would try changing which account is stored in the router and checking again.

Or switch him to full bridge mode. Get your hands on RouteSentry, and test using only one account at a time. If one of them works and the other doesn't,then it's what Rocket-Boy said. Else embrace step 1, coz u'r back there.

Thanks for the advise will try when I get home, but a couple of things:
Route Sentry works 100's with the 2 pppoe connections, it uses the right account with the right traffic etc. The router has the local account set up and when I disable pppoe, ie non-bridge, the newsserver works perfectly but soon as I tick the pppoe relat box it stops. The ISP's are different cybersmart for int and openweb local.
Will tinker some more this evening.

sorted

resorted to the old faithful uninstall and start again. reset router, removed pppoe connections, etc, and then re-did everything and lo and behold it works!
I msut have had a hickup somewhere along the line!
