Okay.

Well..

Ive had the Nokia 6680, Nokia N95 as my past two phones.

Its time for my replacement. I am able to upgrade now or switch over in November when the contract expires.

Let me know what your thoughts are.

Nokia 8800? Nokia N97? Apple iPhone 3G?

I have no idea what would be a good replacement for my Nokia N95 (Classic Version)

I went through all the posts as well. I eventually decided to get the phone no one else seems to want - I don't like owning a phone everyone has. I got the Sony Ericsson W995. It's a great phone in my opinion. Granted it is a second phone for me (I also have Samsung Innov8), bt I didnt' feel like spending that much on a phone and it has everything I need from a phone and it's really an attractive phone. My Innov8 is way too bulky in my opinion - but the camera is the best that I have seen in a long time. Look at the reviews on GSM - gives lots of insightful reviews.

I'd say not one of the three. The 8800 is really a fashion accessory; based on the Nokia S40 platform, so it's not a smartphone. The N97 is nice and new, but I'd realistically wait a bit until all the little wrinkles are ironed out. Also not too keen on the flip action of the screen. The iPhone, well, let's not go there :)

Realistically, what do you want to use your phone for? Does it need a touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, long battery life, GPS? Do you want slim and light, or is the size of the phone not an issue?

The E55 is being released here later this year, so maybe you can look at that as well. It's basically an E51 with half-QWERTY keypad, GPS and 3.2MP camera with flash.

Well a phone that can do whatever I want it to do is what im looking for.

You can see by what i've had before.. being the 6680 and N95 possibly what im into. I like a phone that has some power to go where I need it to go in terms of flexibility with applications and features.

I'd say it doesnt need to be touchscreen but thats the way things are going id like to adapt and go with the flow. QWERTY keyboard.. if it has it cool I guess?

I'd in the end just want a phone that is staying up with the times, easy to use and reliable. Like the Nokia 6680 and N95 was with me during the 2 years I had each of them.

I guess I would like to use it as a media player, so the storage that N97 has for example comes in handy.

Well, not that my opinion counts but I'll sum it up for you like this.

If you want a phone to play with:

iPhone

If you want a phone that can load lots of applications that you can get "free" almost anywhere on the internet:

Any Windows Mobile phone (Oh, and may I add. You get bored later on because you can get a new Operating System almost every 2nd day)

If you are a Nokia fan:

5800XM (N97 is a excellent phone but it almost all the applications needs a 24/7 data connection to work properly so you need a nice data bundle)

If you want a phone that's not a toy, and you recieve lots of e-mails and you use your phone for internet and facebook a lot:

Blackberry

No, Piesang is wrong once again.

You can put the iPhone in all the categories, except for ''Nokia fans''.

1. There's not a phone on this planet with more apps for it than the iPhone (free + pay).

2. Haven't seen a phone with a better Facebook app than the iPhone + Safari on the iPhone is in a class of its own.

Just my 2c.

*PS - Piesang has always been a Nokio follower. Enough said.
