I'm a die hard Google Nexus fan (the Nexus 5 hands down the best phone I've ever owned) and have been contemplating getting the Nexus Player. Obviously I'm going to be installing Kodi/XBMC but was wondering if there is anyone who has one yet and what their experience has been like?
I've had the Boxee Box for ages now and have XBMC running on it but even though it performs fine, actually faster than the Boxee Hacks+ after a while it bombs out and I lose my library which takes ages to rebuild.
My only concerns are the remote and how it functions with XBMC as I currently have my movie collection all with their local nfo and trailers and with limited buttons it could be quite tricky as I use M,S and backspace on my Boxee remote
Then then lean back menu, can you disable the Google Movies and other no usable region affected Google features as Google has finally caught on and disabled it from my Play Store but not before I uploaded my music to Google Play Music, which is now available on all my Nexus devices
I don't know if I should wait for the next Google Player or just go for it.....mmmmm
So, anyone, any feedback?
